Nobody would give me a job, so I made one.

Hi, I'm Austin, a local 18 year old in my last year of sixth form.

Just over a year ago, I cycled round to every workplace i could find: handed them my CV, and asked for work. No one was hiring. So, naturally, I printed some flyers, walked up to every house on my street, knocked, and said "Hi, I'm Austin." Someone asked me to weed their driveway and make it look nice. That was the first job I ever got paid for. A fair few of my first clients still ring me now! To be honest, I've always loved being outside. Growing up, I'd always be up the North Downs with my mates: digging holes, making camps, and doing some stupid stuff! When a small opportunity arose for me to make money by being outside, doing what I love, I jumped at it with full force. I believe that me not being hired originally was a blessing in disguise, as landscaping has allowed me to build a wide skillset, and taught me determination, discipline, and what it truly means to work hard.

A little more about me: I love lifting weights in the gym. I enjoy new experiences, and i'll never turn down a challenge. A notable experience for me was early this summer when I was doing some construction work experience for a week. I woke up at 6, worked until 5. Exhausted, I'd drive home, then get ready to go to work for of my clients, digging a huge trench to fit a drainage pipe! To be fair though, I'd choose that over sitting still any day.

I started on my own and I still like the quiet jobs. There's a small team of us now, all my friends from around here. I run it, I price it, and I'm on site for nearly all of it. If something goes wrong it's me you ring.

Most of the people we work for live within a few miles of me. Older neighbours who cannot manage the garden any more, people whose jobs eat their weekends, people who could do it but would rather not. I know them, and they know me, and that's the bit I like most about this.

I don't mind helping you with a tiny chore either! Dont hesitate to ask me a completely random question.

I'd love to help transform your garden into a space you'd feel comfortable inviting all of your friends into, a space you can truly relax, and a space you're genuinely proud of. I do like a challenge, but I'll be honest when I truly believe something is beyond me. That being said, I aim to improve with every job I complete, so I can continue making your lives easier, and make your gardens look amazing!
